Lovely to meet you!
Since I was a little girl, I dreamed of connecting heart-to-heart with people and animals, and performing.
Most days, my parents would find me in my room writing imaginative stories and reading books aloud to my “classroom” of plushies and pet cats. Other times, I was rehearsing speeches in the bathroom mirror or standing on the fireplace mantle belting out songs from The Sound of Music, The Phantom of the Opera, or Puccini arias.
Even then, I understood the power my voice could hold.
Whether writing, singing, or speaking, my voice helped me express myself and connect deeply with others — both real and imagined — along life’s journey.
Fast forward many moons later, and you could find me performing with theatre groups and opera companies, singing at fundraisers and galas, and completing my Honours degree in Sociology and Humanities from York University. I went on to study Vocal Performance at the prestigious Glenn Gould Professional School at The Royal Conservatory of Music, and later earned my teaching degree in English and History with a Specialist in Guidance Counselling from OISE at the University of Toronto.
After becoming a mother of two, my heart’s capacity for love, passion and inspiration expanded beyond measure.
I felt an even deeper calling to share my gifts in a more intentional and authentic way. While raising my youngest, my love for poetry and stories-in-verse was reignited, leading to the creation of When Your Heart Speaks: A Journey to Trusting Your Inner Voice (formerly Your Heart’s Voice).
Today, I have the privilege of sharing the wisdom and knowledge gained from nearly 20 years in public education and from my journey as a soprano singer with students of all ages.
I believe wholeheartedly that a strong socio-emotional foundation is the key to every child’s success.
It begins with building self-awareness, self-trust, and the courage to take action — both for oneself and the community we live, learn, and play in. Students leave my presentations feeling seen, heard, inspired, and empowered. My greatest hope is to play even a small role in helping a child discover and use their voice — for their own good, and for the good of all.
